EVERY OTHER DAY: There are things from childhood I don’t just remember. I can still feel them.
Lying in bed late at night listening to songs that somehow gave me hope.
Hearing my parents argue in the other room.
Eating mustard sandwiches because sometimes that’s what there was.
At the time, I didn't know better. That was my life.
Now I’m starting to wonder if they were quietly teaching me something.
In this episode of EVERY OTHER DAY, I talk about some of the unpleasant memories that never completely left me—and how those experiences may have prepared me for the hard stuff that showed up later in life.
Maybe getting through tough times isn’t about forgetting what happened. Maybe it’s about realizing that the kid who survived those moments is still in there—and he already taught you how to keep going.
No big production. No polished life lesson tied up with a bow. Just me, a camera, some memories, and the realization that sometimes the shit you desperately wanted to escape becomes part of the reason you can handle life today.
EVERY OTHER DAY is my bare-bones vlog about getting older, staying curious, finding some meaning in all of this—and hopefully reminding each other that there’s still a hell of a lot of life left to live.
