YouTube University keeps telling me to “be authentic.” Cool. Love that. But in the same breath, they’re screaming at me: “YOU HAVE 8 SECONDS TO HOOK THEM OR DIE.”
So apparently I’m supposed to bare my soul, be totally me…but also juggle chainsaws on a unicycle immediately, or nobody cares.
Now I’m stuck with a choice: chase the algorithm like a thirsty influencer at a pool party—or build something real with a smaller, weirder tribe of people who actually get me.
Big numbers or real connection? Basically: Do I want to be rich and dead inside…or slightly broke but spiritually hilarious?
Tough call.
